Charles Alvin Long, 65, son of Alvin and Emma Reust Long, was bom Dec. 5, 1927. ai Topeka, Kan. He died May 25. 1993. at his home at Eunice. He married Itsuko Selcman, and ihey had two children. Mr. Long served in the Air Force for several years and worked as director director of a drug rehabilitation center in Houston, Texas. He was a member member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6508 of Houston. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbum, Melvin and Raymond Long; and one sister. Margaret Collins. Surviving are his wife, Itsuko, of the home ai Eunice; two sons. Robert Whitby of Jackson, Miss., and Charles Long Jr. of Mernam, Kan.; two sisters, Ida Houston of Independence and Mary Adcock of Kansas City, Kan.; and one brother. Marvin Long of Clinton; and four grandchildren. Services were May 27 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at Leavenworth, Kan., with the Rev. Ellis Hacker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summcrsville.
