Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, March 7, at 2:00 hearing was set for Tuesday in the Court of W. J. Jones, but was delayed when the defendant asked for a change of venue. Hayes said this afternoon that as far as he knew the court to which the case will be changed has not yet been specified. Both White and Mrs.

Waugh have denied any knowledge of the crime. Hayes has quoted witnesses as saying they saw White and Butler together on the night that Butler disappeared. Hayes also hns quoted a woman as saying that she and Mrs. Waugh were discussing tho Butler case nine days after the disappearance of Butler and that Mrs. Waugh said, "You won't see him again; he's gone for good." Butler 'h body was found in the old mine cut February 25, and it was at first thought he had been a Subsequent investigation revealed a bullet wound in his head and a Coroner's jury last week stated his death was by gunshot wound at the hands of parties unknown.

Butler's disappearance became known several days after he bad told his mother he was going to St. Louis on December 17 to buy stock for his second hand furniture store. o'clock at Dykes, conducted by Rev. (i. A.
