Ben Sctton had been ill the west some four years ami was a young man of good character. His Texas county friends will regret to learn id his death. In addition fo large number of important educational questions ably discussed by many of our county's splendid aud up-to-date teachers and others, State Superintendent Carrington delivered an interesting address, which was very helpful to his hearers. Those taking part are to be congratulated upon the able man- ntr in which the various subjects were discussed, and we regret that our limited space will not permit a more lengthy report. All who attended voted it a highly enjoyable occasion. Houston was proud to have so many of our county's wideawake, intelligent teachers with and we hiqte they enjoyed their visit to our city -'ts well as our people were glad to have their prtseuce.
