Melody Rebenstorf of Wichita, and Debra Short of Mishawaka, four brothers, Howard of Willow Springs, Joe of Sumpter, S.C., Gerold of Bucyrus and Harold of Cabool; four sisters, Fern Sudhcimer of Roby. Delia Allen of Laquey, Thelma of Aurora and Laverne Rowden of Richland; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Services were Jan.

27 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the East Lawn Cemetery at Springfield. Herman Brim Herman W. Brim, 67, son of Walter and Alma Shoults Brim, was born Dec.

6. 1932, near Hartshorn. He died Jan. 24, 2000. at his home at Hartshorn.

He mamed Dorothy Medlock Jan, 16, 1954. They had three children. Henry Richards Henry Richards, 76, son of Neut Richards and Mabel Salce Richards, was born Dec. 1, 1923, at Turley. He died Jan, 24, 2000, at his home at Houston after a battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Mr Richards was a farmer and in construction and worked for the past 10 years for the U.S. Forest Service. He married Flossie Barton June 8. 1942. They had two sons.

He married Marjone Clausscn Jan. 14, 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Alma Mane; three sisters, Clara Lou, Shirley Mane and Pauline Madison; and one brother. William Wayne Richards Surviving are his wife, Mariorie, of the home; two sons, Garold and Warren Richards of Pleasant Hope; two stepsons, Mikel Cardwell of Augusta, and Danny Cardwell of St. Louis; two stepdaughters, Layne Roderick Sr.

Bdwin Layne Roderick 58, son of Nelson and Louella Chancy Roderick, was bom Jan. 30. 141. He died Jan. 23.

2000, at his home at Fordland. A graduate of Houston High School, he was a former worker for Tindk Mills and a substitute bus driver lor Fordland Schools, He was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gail Roderick. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Edwin Layne Rodenck Jr. of Fordland and David Lee Roderick of Marshfield; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Albiston of Ash Grove, his parents of Pialo; one sister, Lorelta Cook of Roby; and nine grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 at Fraker Funeral Hume at Marshfield with the Rev Hal McAnally officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Fordland. Agenda was born March 5, 1924. near Summersville.

She died Jan. 31, 2000, at the Birch View Nursing Center at Birch Tree. Mrs. Medley attended high school at Summersville and lived most of her life in the Summersville area. She worked at Angelica Uniform Co.

and Brown Shoe Co. and attended Midvale Church when her health permitted. Alter she broke her hip last year and had a stroke, she became a resident of Birch View Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jessie Mario Davis: and one brother. Jack Carpenter.

Surviving are her daughter. Jacklyn Gail Hatter of Summersville; and one grandson. Services were Feb. 2 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, Emmeti Bradford officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery near Summersville.

20, 1954. to July 31. 1956. He was a member of Valley Center Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, where he coon and coyote hunted with his dogs.

He raised a big garden each year with several rows of flowers. Mr. Brim worked at several jobs, fanned and was a carpenter, a trade he passed to his sons. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister. Eulah Schnetzler; and a grandson.

Surviving are his wife of the home; one daughter. Betty Jackson of Troy; two sons, Gary Brim of Hartshorn and Lynn Brim of Mountain View; one brother. Wayne Brim of Jackson; two sisters. Beulah Swiney of Willard and Glenna Heiney of West Plains; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Services were Jan.

26 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Swiney and the Rev. Rick Purcell officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery at Summersville. Sylvia Lav.

ton Sylvia Florence Purcell Lawion, 97, daughter of John and Sylvia Trail Purcell. was born Nov. 23. 1902, at Raymondville, She died Jan. 25.

2000, at Winchester Lodge 35 at Alvin. Texas. She grew up at Raymondville with her siblings, Victor, Leland, Maud. Mary, Jourdon. Anna and Grace Porceil.

During the '30s. she trained at Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans. La. She married Richard G. Lawton in the '40s.

They had two children and lived at Magnolia. for 25 years, where she was an avid bridge player and golfer. Mrs. Lawton was a registered nurse and nurse anesthetist, practicing in Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri. After her retirement, she moved to Houston.

For the last six years she had lived with her daughter in Texas City. Texas. She loved roses. Lotto ticket scraichoffs and her cats. Surviving are her son, Richard G.

Lawton Jr. of Ohio; her daughter. Juliet "Sis" Lawion Miller of Texas City. Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were Feb.

I at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Lindsley officiating. Burial was in the Allen Cemetery. Marcella Suddeth Marcella Charlotte Gilbert Suddeth, 83. daughter of William Gilbert and Rhova Smith Gilhen, was bom Feb.

3, 1916. at Decatur. Ind. She died Jan. 28.

2000, at Texas County Memorial Hospital. As a teenager and young adull. she taught Sunday School and sang in various churches. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, canning and care giving for children. She had a special love for stray dogs.

She mamed Harvey M. Suddeth April 15. 1935. They had nine children. She was preceded in death by five children, Herbert, Gerald, Harley.

Phyllis and Melvin. Surviving are four children. Sherman Suddeth of Jacksonville. Charles W. Suddeth and Cecil Suddeth of Licking and Marcy M.

Brodin of Spotsylvania, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services were Feb. 2 at the Success Baptist Church with Eddie Williamson officiating Burial was in the T. Smith Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Joan Medley Joan Oris Medley, 75.
