Section A Page 3 Houston, March 14, 1996 Deaths High School, she lived at Crestline, Cahf. Mrs. Buckles was a long-time member of the Vale Seventh-Day Ad vcntist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay; a sister, Mary Collins and an infant brothcr. Bobby.

Surviving arc her children, Tom Buckles. Mary Ann Buckles, Beverly Buckles, Bob Buckles and Patricia Buckles; her brothers and sisters, Nell Paul. Wayne Williamson, Fern Helton and Dean Williamson; and four grandchildren. Services were March 14 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Vale, with burial at the Valley View Cemetery at Vale under the direction of Licnkacmper Chapel of Ontario, Ore. Rebecca McKee Rebecca Elizabeth McKee, 88.

daughter of George Washington Decs and Francis Jane Jolly Decs, was bom March 28, 1907, at Houston. She died March 6, 1996, at Texas County Memorial Hospital at Houston. She had lived most of her life in and around the Houston and Bucyrus areas. She worked at the laundry at Fort Leonard Wood for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1972; and by two granddaughters.

Surviving arc two sons, Ulus F. McKcc of Roby and George E. McKee of Success; three daughters, Lorene Button of Florence, Freda Carter and Judy Brcedlove of Bucyrus; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six stcp-grand-children and 17 step-great-grandchildren. Services were March 8 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Campbell officiating.

Burial was in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Jewell Ruckles Jewell Ellen Williamson Buckles, 68, daughter of John and Ruth Williamson, was bom Feb, 4, 1928, near Upton. She died March 9, 1996. at Conroe, Texas, from complications following a serious illness. A 1945 graduate of Houston Mark Wilson Mark Miichell Wilson, 80.

son of Elmer Weber and Frances Emma Mitchell Wilson, was bom June 20, 1915, at Licking. He died March 6, 1996, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. He graduated from Licking High School in 1934 and migrated to California. He married Lorraine D. "Susie" Porath July 12, 1938.

They had three children. Mr. Wilson worked for McDowell -Douglas in Long Beach. for five years before joining the U.S. Navy to serve during World War II.

He worked in the oil fields at Signal Hills, for 30 years before returning to Missouri and retiring west of Houston. Surviving are his wife, Susie of the home; his daughters, Emma Rose Dane and Phyllis Jeane Runyan of Bellflowcr, and one son. Mark Thomas Wilson of Long Beach, four brothers, Esty, Howard Woodrow "Shorty" and Eugene King "Bill" of California; and one sister, Betty Ray Bradrcica of California; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. The body was cremated and buried at the Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. A memorial service is planned for later.

Older Workers Week Raymond Kramm, a Green Thumb worker, with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, on the job. Older workers are being recognized nationwide. Employee Recognized During Older Worker Week The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is honoring one of its employees as pari of National Employ Older Workers Week. Raymond Kramm of Houston has worked for the department since May 1995. Kramm worked at a plant that closed and began working for the Green Thumb program, which employs persons 55 years of age or older.

He worked at Houston Head Stan, where he did janitorial and cleaning work. He aJso helped supervise children. Upon completing a class with Oirk Action Inc. in general occupational and life skills, he was re ferred to the parks and recreation department, where he has been an asset, said director Bill Gray. Kramm has worked on community service projects, runs the Little League concession stand, helps with the various programs, assists with day camp and cleans the dance hall used by the "Beat Patrol." Buchanan Captures GOP County Caucus Young Authors Announced For Ray'ville Raymondville R-7 School has announced the local Youth Authors Festival winners.

Children in grades one through six wrote books. Books were judged according to a number of criteria including originality and writing style. Two children from each grade level were chosen to participate in the Tri-County Council of the International Reading Association Fair May 4 at the Plato Schools. Chosen to attend the spring event from the first grade were Nicholas French and Joseph Bressie; second grade: Chad Elledge and Katie Jo Swan; third grade. Summer Wildhaber and Chad Lewis; fourth grade, Bcthannic Borcl and Cody Nickels; fifth grade, Benjamin Daniels and Megan Borcl; and six grade, Traci Buchholz and Ryan Wilson.

Guest author June Rae Wood will address children, parents and sponsors at the Plato festival. At A Glance Agenda district convention in Cape Girardeau where they will begin working on the party platform and where one presidential elector and three delegates and alternates to the national convention will be selected. They will also attend the state convenuon May 17-18. Strong organizational machinery in place by supporters of Pat Buchanan, the presidential candidate on the Republican Ticket, helped capture a top spot in a Republican caucus in Texas County on Saturday. Russell Koch, party chairman, said Buchanan captured the five delegate slots available.

The first-stage strength was apparent throughout the state. The meetings were the first stop in a process that eventually will lead to selection of 36 delegates to the GOP national convenuon. In a straw vote at the county meeting. Dole appeared to have the second highest backing of those attending the meeting at the Texas County Courthouse. Delegates are not legally bound to support the same candidate at an April 13 district mceung.

Strong Dole showing could change the tide. Longtime Republican observers said the room was packed with people who had never attended a county caucus and who have never been involved with the work of the county Republican Central Committee. Sixty-eight registered for the mceung. Delegates selected will attend the For the Democrats in Texas County, the job was easier. President Clinton is the only Democrat seeking the job.

Texas County Fair Board meeting is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the Extension office in the basement of the Texas County Courthouse in Houston. Texas County sheriffs deputies are investigating the theft of a vending machine from a Roby business. Warren Norris of Roby Auto Parts said a Coca-Cola machine was missing. Linda Gilhrcaih of Plato reported property damage and vamlalism to 14 mailboxes on Long Hollow Road at Plato.
