He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Eaton of Poway, and Cynthia Hutchison of Prairie Village, seven grandchildren, Julie, Patrick, Bryant, Mark, Todd, Vanessa and Lee; and 10 great- grandchildren, Robert, Alexis, Isabel, Olivia, Abigail, Skylar, Clover, Aidyn. Eisley and Indy. Homer grew up in the country near Queen Ann, a middle child of 13 children. He joined the Navy in 1939 at 19 years of age. His salary was $21 per month.

Homer took part in the invasion of France during WWII and served as a corpsman in the Korean ict and three tours as a medic during the Vietnam War. Box 29 Jefferson City, MO 65102-0029 HOMER HUTCHISON Homer Danwood Hutchison, 94, son of Homer Miller Hutchison and Dina (Asche) Hutchison, was born on Oct. 16, 1919, in Cordova, Md. He died at the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Mo, on June 17, 2014. Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Evangeline Hutchison; his parents; 12 siblings; a son, Lee Brian Hutchison; and a daughter, Nancy Victoria Hutchison. wa, Hawaii, Vietnam, New York, Iceland and Tennessee.

Homer married Bernice in 1945, when she was in the Army and he was a young sailor. Homer retired from the Navy on November 18, 1972. He then moved his family to a farm in the country between Houston and Cabool, Missouri. Homer liked the countryside and life on a farm. He loved to have a garden and enjoyed raising his own food.

Homer and Bernice loved to travel in their motor home, especially to Florida in the winter. Graveside services will full military honors were 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, in Dykes Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Dykes Cemetery.

Online condolences may be sent to www.evansfh.com. PAID LARRY GAYER Larry Roland Gayer, 72, son of Louis and Wanona (Tucker) Gayer was born Feb. 5, 1942 in Wichita, Kan. He passed away June 20, 2014 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Wayne Gayer; grandson, Derrick Sillyman; granddaughters, Gracie Mae and Jazzie Rose Buckner; and a brother, Andrew Gayer.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan of Cabool; three sons, Larry Gayer and wife Teresa and their children, Keri and Kevin of Lexington, James Gayer and wife Amy and daughter, Kristen, of Cabool; Terry Gayer and his children, Megan and Maddie, of Cabool; three daughters, Cindy Sillyman and husband Brian and their children, Shayleen and Amber of Houston; Tammy Roberts and husband Kevin and their children, Sean, Casie, Nathan and Emily of Mountain Grove; Vickie Buckner and her children, Taylor, Ethan, and Joey of Houston; four brothers, Delbert Gayer and wife Shirley of Cabool, Orval Gayer and wife, Louise of Cabool, Lynn Gayer and wife, Mary of Houston, and Lonnie Gayer of Marlow, two sisters, Bessie Simons and beloved James Simons of Wichita, and Tresa Meisenheimer and husband John of Jackson, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Larry married his sweetheart and best friend, Susan Weber on Dec. 29, 1961, and to this union seven children were born; Larry, Cindy, Michael, Tammy, James, Terry and Vickie. He attended school in Wichita, Kan. He received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1972 and remained a devoted faithful man of God.

Larry was the pastor of House of Prayer and Worship Full Gospel Church, after resigning as pastor he was invited to several of the area churches to spread word. During his lifetime, Larry was known for his race car 4A abilities, working and managing his own garage and end-time prophecy preaching. Larry loved his family and Susan was the highlight of his life. He enjoyed family events and gatherings. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather; he was always looking for ways to help everyone he met.

Larry will be missed but we know that he is enjoying the beauty of heaven and is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus his Savior, the one he spent his life faithfully serving, walking on the streets of gold in his new body. Tuesday June 24, 2014, at Souls Harbor Family Worship with Cordie Wimberley, Lonnie Case, Orval Gayer, Lynn Gayer, Delbert Gayer and Donnie Wells of- ciating. Pallbearers were: Sean MacDonald, Nathan MacDonald, Kevin Gayer, Brandon Calhoun, Billy McNutt and Brad Gayer. Honorary pallbearers were William McNutt, Brody Rich and Ethan Buckner. PAID RUTH ELLA MASSEY Ruth Ella Massey (Smyer), 88, daughter of Rufus Montana Smyer and Justina (Tiney May) Varnell Smyer, died peacefully at her home in Houston, Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Dearl Massey, daughter Derith Ann Hurst and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her grandchildren, Keeli Hurst Hyde and Shane Hurst; her great-grandchildren, Lilyanna Hyde and Chase Hurst; and her sister, Ruby Mires. Ruth was born Oct. 4, 1925, on Nubbin Ridge in Texas County, Mo. She moved to the at age 1 where she spent her childhood.

Ruth was a graduate of Houston High School. She was very proud of receiving her and degrees in education from CMSU while working at the same time. Ruth began her teaching career at age 17 in a two-room school house in Plum Valley, co-teaching with her good friend Sally Pierce. Before ending her 36-year teaching career she taught at ee School, Success, Hickman Mills and Summit, Mo. Her teaching awards included Teacher of the Year in each of her school districts.

Ruth married Dearl Massey on March 6, 1948, in Bendavis, Mo. They would spend 63 years together. According to Ruth, even before passing in 2011 they were very happy and very much in She loved gardening and won of the many times. She devoted her time to reading, writing, Beta Sigma Phi, Retired Teachers and First Christian Church. Retiring from teaching at age 55, Ruth and Dearl built their own home, returning to their beloved Houston and spending 31 blissful years there.

The role model that she por- trayed as teacher, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, served to inspire all who knew and loved her. Ruth had the gift of hospitality. It was her way to always make people feel welcomed and loved in her home. Her high standards of integrity and ethics created in others a passion to be better human beings. Her love and wisdom will be etched in the minds and hearts of her family forever.

We will truly miss our Nan. Services were 2 p.m. June 25, at Evans Funeral Home. Pastor David Barbee ciated. Burial was in Bado Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shane Hurst, Steve Hurst, Kendell Clarkston, Gary Massey, Bud Evans, John Mires, Don Massey and Dennis Bartlett. 18, 1969. She passed away June 21, 2014, after a motorcycle accident at Licking. She lived in Licking except for two years when she and her family were in California. She married Steven James of Houston in April 1990. They had a daughter, Nicole.

Surviving are her daughter and a granddaughter; seven sisters, Carol Brim of Houston, Virginia Gann of Alderpoint, Jackie Gilbert of ower, Sharon Decker, Houston, Marty Lane of Evening Shade, Betty Vestal of Licking; and Brenda Brim, Lebanon; and a brother, Frank Davy, Licking; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A close friend, Dooley of St. Louis County, also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Eileen Davy; a brother, Gene Davey; and a sister, Veta Davy. Memorial services are 11 a.m.

Saturday, June 28, at Fox Funeral Home, Licking, with Velma Trout of- ciating. Burial will be in Trout Cemetery. Memorials can be made at the funeral home to the Nancy James Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be made at www. foxfh.net.
