Program Planned on Internet Safety Internet safety night, a nationwide program about the dangers of the Internet and how to avoid them, will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.

23, in room 202 of the Lybyer Technology Center hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains. The event is free and open to all. The evening will provide information and resources about online predators, cyber bullying, identity theft and other Internet-related issues to students, parents and other concerned members of the community in an effort to help everyone stay safer online, said Sue Ingram, director of Missouri State-West computer services department. The program, which will be generated from Gentry Middle School in Columbia, will be offered in a nationwide interactive video conference provided by Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet). It will begin with a keynote presentation, then break into a panel discussion and a question and answer session, Ingram said.
